CHEEK IMPLANTS PROCEDURE:
Dr. Cole will make small incisions inside your mouth and work through these to create pockets into which the implants will be precisely positioned. After the incisions are closed with sutures, sterile tape strips are applied to the outside of the cheek area to help hold the implants in place for a few days. The surgery normally takes about 1 hour – unless it is done in combination with another age-erasing facial procedure. After surgery, it is normal to experience some swelling, numbness and a feeling of “tightness” for a few days. Any discomfort is easily managed with oral pain medication – while symptoms resolve.

What Down Time Is Involved After Cheek Implant Surgery?
You will need to rest for 1 full day after your surgery with your head elevated and continue to sleep with the head elevated for at least 1 week or until Dr. Cole tells you otherwise. Strenuous activity must be avoided also for 1 week – this includes bending, lifting, straining and driving. We’ll advise you when it’s ok to return to all normal activities.
How Will I Feel After Cheek Implant Surgery?
Some swelling, bruising, and feeling of tightness is normal and to be expected. Ice compresses, resting with head elevated and oral pain medication easily manages any discomfort you may experience.
Will Insurance Cover Cheek Implant Surgery?
NO. Insurance does not cover cosmetic procedures but financing is available today for it. Ask about this in our business office.
