BOTOX® Cosmetic Procedure Overview:
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple injection, containing a small amount of botulinum toxin type A, which blocks the nerve signal to the targeted muscles used to make facial expressions, preventing the formation of facial lines and wrinkles. The treatment is done in our office and takes only a few minutes. Patient may experience minimal bruising and swelling, which usually resolves in a few days.

What is Botulinum Toxin Type A?
Botulinum Toxin Type A, commonly known as "BOTOX", is a neuromuscular inhibitor that prevents muscle contractions after being injected into the muscle.

Can Anyone Have BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections?
A good candidate is any man or woman, in good health, who is unhappy with their facial wrinkles, creases and furrows and who desires correction.  Having realistic expectations is necessary.

Is Anesthesia Needed for a BOTOX® Cosmetic Injection Treatment?
No. Dr. Cole is an expert injector and our patients do not require anesthesia for the procedure.

Are BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections Painful?
No.  Our patients say it feels like a small pinch with a temporary burning sensation.

How Long Does A BOTOX® Cosmetic Injection Treatment Take?
Dr. Cole performs treatments in about 10 minutes.

Is There Any Downtime With BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections?
Most patients are able to resume normal activities after a treatment. Dr. Cole does suggest that patients refrain from heavy exercise and massaging or applying pressure to the injectable site for 24 hours after treatment.

Will Insurance Pay For My BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections?
Insurance does not usually cover cosmetic procedures.  If your BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are given for medical reasons, your insurance may cover the charges. Check with your insurance provider to determine what will be covered under your plan.

Is Financing Available for BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections?
Yes, financing is available today for many cosmetic procedures. We provide financing through Care Credit.

Dr. Cole is a quadruple board certified surgeon which means he has met the rigorous high standards and training requirements of four medical boards.  This involved several years more of specialized training and experience in all four areas – in addition to medical school, internships, residencies, fellowship training and vast experience.
